‘Keeper’ is the latest single from newcomer Baker Grace. After her debut EP Girl, I Know made waves last year, she has been working on her follow-up Yourz Truly, set for release on August 28^th. Intricate, delicate and perfectly-crafted percussion has quickly become a staple of Grace’s sound, while the distinctive voice that sits above is dreamy and soft. Despite her obvious talent for pop composition, an element of experimentalism shines through in the barrage of wailing, horn-like synths and edited vocals that chime in for the chorus. She explains that each track on her upcoming EP is “a letter to myself or to somebody else, because writing letters has always been one of the best ways for me to be completely truthful.” Be on the lookout for this emotionally-charged, personal release. - Dan Peeke
